Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today a Fleece Blanket Giveaway at Prince George's Stadium Thursday, May 12, as the team takes on the Akron Aeros at 7:05 p.m. The blanket is black and features both the Baysox and Baltimore Orioles logos. The first 250 fans ages six and up receive the blanket.
Baysox Director of Marketing Brandan Kaiser says the giveaway is a necessity. "We played Erie over the weekend and the weather was a bit chilly at times," said Kaiser. "We want to make sure our fans are prepared to be as warm and comfortable as possible the next time Erie comes to town in May. The blanket is incredibly versatile, if it is warm enough that fans do not need to sit under it, they can tie it around their shoulders like a cape or wave it around like a really big rally towel."
Tickets for Thursday night giveaway games start at $6 and are available now by ordering in person at the Baysox box office, by calling the box office at (301) 464-4865 or by ordering online at www.baysox.com.
The Baysox 19th season as the class Double-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles is underway. They play their first game at Prince George's Stadium Thursday, April 14, at 7:05 p.m. Parking is free at every Baysox home game and tickets are now available at www.baysox.com or by calling the Baysox box office at (301) 464-4865.
