-SPIKES RETURN TO PA FOR ROAD STOP: The State College Spikes head back to Pennsylvania to renew acquaintances tonight with the Williamsport Crosscutters in the SawBuck Series at Historic Bowman Field. The Spikes and ‘Cutters have met three times this season, with the home team winning every contest. Williamsport leads the all-time series, 34-29, and has gone 19-13 against State College at Historic Bowman Field.

-LAST GAME: Nick Kingham got his first professional victory on Friday night as he combined with Mike Jefferson and Mitch Fienemann to help the State College Spikes make their early lead over the Staten Island Yankees stand up in a 2-1 win at Richmond County Bank Ballpark. The Spikes' victory also stopped an 11-game losing streak on the road, and marked the club's second victory ever on the road against Staten Island. Kingham, who was originally slated to pitch in relief on Thursday before getting the start Friday, sprayed four Staten Island hits over five innings and recorded one strikeout.

-BENEDICT TAPPED FOR SPIKES START: Right-hander Matt Benedict gets the ball for State College tonight. Benedict has gone five innings or more in each of his last three starts, and has gone into the sixth inning in each of his last two mound appearances. A 30th-round pick this year out of Western Carolina, the St. Petersburg, FL native has struck out 13 and walked just four over five starts this year.

-CROSSCUTTERS SEND KLEVEN TO HILL: Williamsport will go with right-hander Colin Kleven on the mound tonight. Kleven, a 33rd-round draft pick in 2009 out of Langley, British Columbia, has gone six innings on the mound in back-to-back starts. The righty is making his fourth start for the Crosscutters this year after going 0-5 with a 7.04 ERA for the GCL Phillies in 2010. Kleven has 13 strikeouts to seven walks this season.
