-SPIKES FINISH BIG SERIES VS. JAMMERS: The State College Spikes and the Jamestown Jammers, both battling for the New York-Penn Legaue's Pinckney Division title, meet tonight in the last game of a two-game mini-series at Russell Diethrick Park. Tonight's meeting is the second of eight between the two teams over the season's final 21 games, including the completion of a game suspended on June 25. Jamestown currently leads State College by one game. The Spikes are in the NYPL Wild Card lead by a half-game over Lowell. State College is 33-40 all-time against Jamestown, with a 17-20 mark in road games.

-LAST GAME: The Spikes did not get a runner past first base through the first eight innings, but scored the only runs of the game in the ninth to beat the Jamestown Jammers, 2-0, on Friday night at Russell Diethrick Park and get within a game of first place in the New York-Penn League's Pinckney Division. Steven Ramos keyed the Spikes' late surge by beating out a bunt single with a headfirst slide as the leadoff man. An errant pickoff throw to first then sent Ramos to third. After Cesar Valera was hit by a pitch, Brett Wiley knocked in the game's first run with a sacrifice fly. Valera then added an insurance run by taking home on a double steal. Willy Paulino, Mitch Harris and Jacob Booden combined on the shutout, with Booden getting the win.

-PETREE GETS THE BALL FOR SPIKES TONIGHT: Right-hander Nick Petree goes to the mound for State College tonight. Petree makes his eighth start and tenth overall appearance for State College this season. Last time out, the Cardinals' 2013 ninth-round draft choice threw 4 2/3 shutout innings against Brooklyn in relief, giving up three hits and two walks while striking out three. Petree's 0.97 ERA is the lowest for any Spikes starter, and the Missouri State product has a 0.67 ERA on the road in seven appearances this year.

-JAMMERS TAP SANCHEZ FOR START ON HILL: Right-hander Isaac Sanchez makes the mound start tonight for Jamestown. Sanchez is making his 11th start for the Jammers this season. Sanchez, who was born in The Bronx, NY but resides in Bonoa in the Dominican Republic, gave up two runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five in his last outing against Tri-City last Saturday. The right-hander went eight innings on June 27 against Batavia, but has not gone longer than five innings in a single appearance since.

-RAMOS, BOSCO SHINE AT NYPL ALL-STAR GAME: Spikes Steven Ramos and Jimmy Bosco were the only players to collect multiple hits in the 2013 NYPL All-Star Game Tuesday night, but the AL beat the Spikes' NL side, 4-3, in the Midsummer Classic. Ramos and Bosco each went 2-for-2, with Bosco producing a double. David Washington also started for the NL squad at first base, while Cesar Valera entered the game in the sixth inning at shortstop. Outfielder Ronald Castillo had been named to start, but did not appear in the game.

-SPIKE MARKS: Steven Ramos leads the NYPL in batting by 26 points over Aberdeen's Trey Mancini (.358 to .332)...David Washington leads the NYPL in RBI with 37...Washington is also tied for second in homers with eight, and is tied for the Spikes' record for single-season home runs...State College is 1-11 on the road this season when the opponent scores first...Mitch Harris is allowing opposing hitters just a .172 average
