February 8, 2022 - NBA G League (G League)
Salt Lake City Stars News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today their home game on Saturday, March 19 against the Oklahoma City Blue (Thunder affiliate) will be played at Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz. The game, which is presented by Wasatch I.T., was originally scheduled for Bruin Arena at Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville.
This will mark the third Stars game this season to be played at Vivint Arena. The Stars previously hosted games there on Nov. 19 vs. Santa Cruz and Jan. 28 vs. Oklahoma City, drawing raucous crowds of 7,553 and 7,074 respectively, as part of the team's Junior Jazz Night events.
"It's such a great atmosphere here, not just for the players, but for the fans as well," said Salt Lake City Stars center Yoeli Childs, following the Stars game at Vivint Arena on Jan. 28. "There is something about playing on the same floor as the Jazz and so many NBA legends that just makes for a special night."
Stars games continue to be centered around affordable family entertainment. The University of Utah Health Kids Zone will be available during the game, offering access to bounce houses, face painters and balloon artists on the floor of Vivint Arena. There will also be contests and giveaways. Additional family-friendly activities will be announced at a later date.
Free parking for the game will be available in the Park Place lot located adjacent to Vivint Arena on the corner of 300 West and South Temple.
Tickets for the Stars March 19 game at Vivint Arena are available at slcstars.com or by phone (via call or text) at (801) 325-STAR (7827).
