Windy City Bulls News Release
The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO, the NBA G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, fell to the Westchester Knicks 117-111 Sunday night in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Seven Windy City players scored in double figures, with Ethan Thompson and Kerwin Roach II leading the way with 20 points apiece.
Relying on a seven-man rotation for much of the game, the Bulls hung around the Knicks for all four quarters. After Westchester came out of the gates with a strong opening period, the Bulls scored 37 points in the second quarter to enter halftime down by just two.
The Knicks outscored the Bulls 32-26 in the third quarter to take an eight-point edge into the final 12 minutes. The Bulls fought back to tie the game at 106 with 2:54 left to play, but their comeback bid ultimately came up just short, losing to the Knicks by six.
Thompson and Roach II combined for 40 points on 14-for-20 shooting. Windy City's Bryce Alford finished with 18 points, while Marko Simonovic and Scottie Lindsey each scored 14 points. Tim Bond and Henri Drell came off the bench for the Bulls to score 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Dewan Hernandez and Brandon Williams led the way for the Knicks with 31 points apiece. Hernandez also added 10 rebounds to complete the double-double.
After the loss, the Bulls dropped to 6-8, while the Knicks improved to 5-7.
Next, Windy City heads back home to host the Long Island Nets Friday, Feb. 11 at NOW Arena. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. on NBAGLeague.com.
