Texas Legends News Release
FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends and long-time partner Coserv have joined forces to celebrate some of the unsung heroes of the North Dallas community. Lovepacs serves eight different communities in North Texas, providing meals for more than 6,500 children, and on Feb. 11th the Legends will suit up in custom jerseys celebrating Lovepacs' impact on our younger generations.
Lovepacs was started in 2011 by four families who saw a need and decided to meet it. The work began with a few students at Camey Elementary in The Colony who were being sent home with backpacks of food by school administrators so they would have something to eat on the weekends. The founding families realized how common this was in the area and jumped into action, forming Lovepacs, a 501(c)3 that works with schools and its volunteers to provide meals for students over school holidays.
"Lovepacs fills a crucial need in this community with one in five children facing food insecurities," said Legends President Malcolm Farmer. "Coserv has always been the type of partner that not only meets needs when asked but seeks out opportunities to do more in the community. We are both tremendously excited to celebrate the staff and volunteers of Lovepacs and bring awareness and resources to such a deserving organization."
Prior to Friday's game, the Legends players and staff will be hosting a pack with Lovepacs LISD-East to put together boxes. The team will be collecting some of the urgent needs at the game, with all donors receiving a free ticket courtesy of Coserv. Lovepacs is also the Legends' Mission of the Month, presented by Coserv and Central Kia, for February so donations can be made at any monthly events or at the Legends' offices. Lovepacs is specifically seeking peanut butter & jelly, boxes of cereal, canned soup, and ramen noodles.

A limited number of tickets are still available for Feb. 11th. For tickets or information call 214-469-0822 or visit www.TexLegends.com.
