CLEVELAND, OH - The Cleveland Charge (2-11) of the NBA G League, presented by Cleveland Clinic, fell at home to Raptors 905 (12-4), 110-99 on Tuesday evening at the Wolstein Center.
Malik Newman paced the Charge with 20 points and two steals in 31 minutes off the bench. Two-Way Players R.J. Nembhard and Brandon Goodwin tallied 17 and 13 points, respectively, while Goodwin had a team-high six assists. Tacko Fall was just short of a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes to go along with three blocks.
Two-Way player Justin Champagnie led all scorers with 27 points, shooting 50% from behind the arc, and completing the double-double with 10 boards in 41 minutes of action. Obadiah Noel contributed 17 points off the bench while assignment player Isaac Bonga recorded 14 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists in 28 minutes.
Taking an early lead in the game, the 905 never looked back, with eight three's in the third quarter extending the deficit to 22. Goodwin delivered a 6-0 run in the middle of the fourth to bring the Charge within eight, but the 905 held off the advance.
