Lincoln, Neb. - Lincoln forward Ludvig Hoff scored his first career hat trick and Peyton Jones logged 25 saves for his fourth shutout of the season as the Stars beat the Sioux City Musketeers, 7-0, on Friday night at the Ice Box.

Lincoln jumped out to a quick two-goal lead in the first period against Sioux City.

Stars defenseman Christian Evers fired the puck past Musketeer goaltender Cam Gornet at 1:44 of the period for a power-play goal.

Forward Tye Ausmus scored his second goal of the season at the 4:42 mark to give Lincoln a 2-0 lead at the first intermission.

The Stars ramped up the scoring in the second period, putting three goals on the board and taking a 5-0 lead after 40 minutes.

Lincoln forward Carson Gicewicz scored a backhand goal on the breakaway one minute into the period, putting the Stars up 3-0. Forward Grant Jozefek then tapped in a rebound at 13:51 into the frame.

Hoff added to the lead on the power play at the 18:51 mark to give the Stars a 5-0 lead.

The third period held the same theme as the previous two as the Stars posted two more goals.

Hoff buried his second and third goals of the game in the final frame as the Stars rolled to a 7-0 win.

The Stars travel to Ralston on Saturday, January 23 to face the Omaha Lancers. Puck drop is set for 7:05 pm.
