
Stars and Girl Scouts team up for can drive

DES MOINES, IA - Iowa Stars President John Pettit today announced a joint initiative with the local Girl Scouts to help benefit the Des Moines area communities. The Stars and Girl Scouts ask all fans that attend the Iowa Stars Saturday, March 25th game against the Houston Aeros to bring at least two non-perishable canned food items to the game and join us in donating them to the Des Moines Area Food Pantry.
Any fan that brings at least two non-perishable cans will receive a 2-for-1 coupon good for Tuesday, March 28th game against San Antonio. The 2-for-1 ticket coupon is good for the $21 price level seating area. Iowa Stars Season Ticket Holders will be entered into a special jersey raffle good for a home or away replica Stars jersey.
"We are pleased to partner with the Girl Scouts and help provide them with this large collection opportunity. I'm confident our fans will help the Girl Scouts in such a worthy cause", commented Stars President John Pettit.

NEXT GAMES: The Iowa Stars finally return home for three games on Saturday, March 25th against Houston, Sunday the 26th and Tuesday the 28th against San Antonio. Saturday and Tuesday's game will have a 7:05 PM start, while Sunday's game begins at 5:05 PM. Doors open for all games, one-hour before face-off.
