Stanley Asumnu Returns to Active Roster

MCALLEN, TEXAS - The defending NBA Development League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers announced Friday that they have re-acquired forward Stanley Asumnu (6-5, 220, Tennessee) who was has been out since November 30 due to personal reasons.

He has also changed his number back to 23, the number he wore for his first three years with the team. Asumnu wore #7 during the early portion of this season.

Asumnu is averaging 4.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 12.0 minutes in three games off the bench.

Asumnu takes the roster spot of forward Stanley Robinson (6-9, 210, Connecticut), who was waived due to injury on Thursday. Robinson has been out since December 8 with a right leg injury.

Robinson is averaging 9.7 points and 2.7 rebounds and 10.3 minutes in three games off the bench.
