FORT WAYNE ACQUIRES FORMER NBA CALL-UP OLIVER LAFAYETTE
The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced they have signed former Mad Ant Oliver Lafayette and have waived Anthony Goods. Lafayette, a 6-2 guard from Houston, played 48 games for the Mad Ants during the 2009-10 season. He averaged 17.1 points and 6.5 assists, and finished the season on a hot streak averaging 26.4 points in his last seven games. Hiss late season surge resulted in an NBA Call-Up to the Boston Celtics after the conclusion of the season. Lafayette had seven points, four rebounds and two assists in his first NBA game and got to be a part of the Celtics' NBA Playoff run. Lafayette spent the first portion of this season playing overseas in Serbia.
