The St. John's Maple Leafs have eclipsed their franchise record for consecutive wins on home ice. The team's old record was six consecutive wins that was previously set twice; March 28-April 9, 1995 and December 9-January 12, 2001.
The St. John's Maple Leafs set an all-time franchise record Friday, December 3rd when the team defeated the Binghamton Senators 3-2 at the ACC in Toronto to record their seventh straight win on home ice. The team is currently on a six game winning streak at Mile One Stadium and will be looking to extend that streak tonight against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Game time is 7:35pn (NT) and will be broadcast Live on Radio NL (930am) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca.
The St. John's Maple Leafs host the Portland Pirates this weekend at Mile One Stadium before embarking on a three game, seven day road trip. Game times for this weekend's contests are 7:35pm (NT) and will be broadcast live on Radio NL (930AM), www.sjmapleleafs.ca and Rogers Television.
