Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats today announced it will close its Holiday Toy Drive with a "Teddy Bear Toss" during its Saturday, December 11th game against the Binghamton Senators at the Pepsi Arena. Fans are encouraged to bring unwrapped plush toys to the 7:00pm game and throw them on to the rink during one of the game's intermissions. All toys collected that night will be donated to Ronald McDonald House as holiday presents for the children and families they serve.

"This year's Toys For Tots campaign has outpaced our expectations, and we're confident that Saturday's 'Teddy Bear Toss' will collect a record number of stuffed toys for the children of Ronald McDonald House," said River Rats President/CEO S. Garen Szablewski. "The River Rats' work with the Ronald McDonald House and the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaign remains an important part of our commitment to serving the children in our community."

Fans that bring unwrapped toys or stuffed animals to the December 11th game will receive a raffle ticket for each toy donated. Raffle tickets will be drawn during the game for autographed merchandise and other great prizes.
