Falcons Partner with Key Players Project

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, proud minor league affiliate of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning, have donated 250 tickets through The Hockey Company Holdings Inc. to the Key Players Project. The Key Players Project is an organization that honors men of color who are quietly contributing to children's lives in the Springfield Community.

The Hockey Company Holdings Inc., is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With operations in Europe and the United States, it is the World's largest designer, manufacturer and marketer of hockey equipment and related apparel under three of the world's most recognized hockey rand names: CCM®, Jofa® and Koho®. The Company is a world leader in the design and innovation of the National Hockey League for authentic and replica jerseys.

The Key Players Project will award donated Falcons tickets to the first 250 "Key Player" nominees. The Key Player nominees will be honored at a January 1st, 2005 game versus the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Springfield Civic Center. Game time is 7:05.

Young people can nominate their "Key Player" at the Springfield Libraries as well as the Key Players Project website: keyplayersproject.org. A "Key Player" is a man of color who leads by example and is constantly caring, supporting, and guiding children.

The deadline for "Key Player" nomination forms is Saturday, December 11th.
