
Monarchs Recall James From Bakersfield

MANCHESTER, NH â The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled left wing Connor James from the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Wednesday. James, 22, has appeared in 17 games with the Condors this season. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, has 15 points (7-8=15) and seven penalty minutes in the 17 games. Selected by the Kings in the ninth-round (279th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, James leads the Condors with a plus-10 rating and two short-handed goals. He also ranks second on the team with seven goals and third on the team with 15 points. James, a rookie out of Denver University (WCHA), collected 57 goals and 149 points (57-92=149) in 160 games over four seasons (2000-04) with the Pioneers.
The Monarchs return to action when they meet the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Arena at Harbor Yard on Friday, December 10 at 7:35 p.m. After that, they'll meet the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Hartford Civic Center on Saturday, December 11 at 7:05 p.m., and then return home for a tilt with the Springfield Falcons at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Sunday, December 12 at 4:05 p.m. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network (WGIR-AM 610, Manchester; WGIN-AM 930, Rochester; WGIP-AM 1540, Exeter; WTSL-AM 1400, Lebanon) and at www.monarchshockey.com.
