St. John's Announces Roster Moves

The St. John's Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that goaltender J.F. Racine and defenceman David Turon have been reassigned by Toronto from the Memphis RiverKings of the CHL. Racine, a third-round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, has spent the last two seasons with the RiverKings. This past season, Racine overcame injury problems early in the year and finished with a record of 15-10-2, while posting a goals against average of 2.70 and a save percentage of .914. Racine started every game for the RiverKings over the last six weeks of the season, recording two shutouts in the process.

Defenceman David Turon has appeared in seven games this season with St. John's recording two penalty minutes. In 42 games with Memphis, Turon recorded 15 points (7G,8A) and had 57 penalty minutes. David Turon was Toronto's 4th choice, 122nd overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

The Maple Leafs face the Rochester Americans tonight and tomorrow at Mile One Stadium. Both games will be broadcast on Radio NL (930AM), Rogers Television and www.sjmapleleafs.ca. Game times are 7:35pm (NT).
