Celebrity Waiter Dinner nets more than $85,000 for charity

Houston, TX – The Houston Aeros' annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner and Auction, held last Tuesday at the Warwick Hotel, raised more than $85,000 for T-Care, the Espiritu de Salud Mobile Clinic and Houston Aeros Charities. There were more than 60 auction items, including five live auction items. Among the highlights of the evening were a road trip with the Aeros in 2004-05 and an AKC registered yellow lab puppy. The event was sponsored by GX Technology Corporation (Gold Sponsor) and St. Luke's Episcopal Health System (Silver Sponsor).

The Fifth Annual Spirit of Spring Luncheon & Fashion Show, presented by Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, is set for Friday, April 2 at the Warwick Hotel. The silent auction will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and the Fashion Show at 12 p.m. This event benefits The Children's Assessment Center, which serviced 4,730 children and their families in 2003 alone. The Aeros will also help host the Fort Bend County Woman of the Year Luncheon on June 3. Nomination forms are still available here.

The Aeros continue a four-game road trip Wednesday in Worcester at 6:05 p.m. The game can be heard on www.aeros.com. Houston returns home Tuesday, March 23 against the Utah Grizzlies at 7 p.m.
