MacKenzie Rejoins Chicago

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned center Derek MacKenzie to the Chicago Wolves.

MacKenzie, who was recalled by Atlanta on Nov. 21, Jan. 6 and Feb. 20, recorded his first National Hockey League point with an assist on Feb. 25 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Overall, MacKenzie posted one assist and 10 penalty minutes in an NHL career-high 12 games with the Thrashers this season.

MacKenzie shares third on the Wolves with 13 goals and eighth on the club with 27 points in 50 games with Chicago this season. Overall, the 22-year-old forward has registered 40 goals, 44 assists and 84 points in 198 American Hockey League games spanning three seasons (2001-2004) with the Wolves.
