
Squirrels Add Double the Fireworks on July 5th

RVA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, are excited to announce that an extra fireworks show has been added to the already action-packed festivities on Sunday, July 5th at The Diamond. The "Double-Feature" fireworks show on July 5th will be twice the blast and length of a regular Squirrels fireworks display. The Sunday, July 5th game is also a special Kids Club Sunday and the contest will be broadcast live on 117 TV stations across the country as part of the "Minor League Baseball Sunday Showcase" on American Sports Network (click here for listings). The Squirrels are encouraging all fans to wear red for a "Red Out" of The Diamond. Tickets for the contest can be found at www.squirrelsbaseball.com/tickets
"We are excited to be featured on a nationally broadcast game," said Flying Squirrels VP & COO Todd "Parney" Parnell" The double feature fireworks show will be unique and special to all who share in this memorable night on Sunday."
The Flying Squirrels return home on Saturday July 4th to begin a six game "All -American" homestand. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office or online at www.squirrelsbaseball.com/tickets .The promotional schedule is as follows:

Tuesday, July 7th - Hunter Strickland Bobblehead (1st 2,000 fans all ages) presented by NBC 12.
