State College Spikes News Release

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - State College Spikes fans won't be sweating this week's potential record high temperatures, thanks to several cool solutions the club is making available through the July 21-25 homestand at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.

Spectators will enjoy a refreshing mist at special Cool Mist Zones set up on the Spikes Fun Deck on the right field side of the park and Ike's Kids Zone on the left field side of the park. Extra industrial-strength fans blowing cool air around the ballpark will also be present, and ballpark ushers will be equipped with mist blowers in each section of seats to keep everyone attending a Spikes game over the homestand cool.

Plenty of cold, bottled water will be on sale at all concession stands and roving vendors, with free water also available at fountains located throughout the ballpark.

Plus, fans attending Spikes games can purchase their own "Beat the Heat Seats" throughout the homestand, which are individual Ballpark Suite tickets that allow fans to take advantage of the air conditioning provided in each Ballpark Suite. Up to 20 fans will be accommodated in each Ballpark Suite.

"Beat the Heat Seats" are available at $20 per ticket, and can be purchased, along with single-game tickets for all five games in the upcoming homestand against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians) and Brooklyn Cyclones (New York Mets) by calling a Spikes ticket representative at (814) 272-1711 or by visiting the Medlar Field at Lubrano Park Box Office in person.
