Spikes Individual Playoff Game Tickets Now on Sale

(STATE COLLEGE, PA) - - The State College Spikes today announced that in anticipation of their first-ever New York-Penn League playoff berth, fans can now purchase tickets for individual playoff games in addition to the 4-Game Playoff Packs already on sale.

The Spikes currently hold the best record in the NYPL at 42-24 and are one game ahead of Jamestown in the Pinckney Division standings. The playoff schedule is set to begin the weekend of September 6-8 .

Tickets are available for each of the four potential home playoff games, which will be sold as Games A, B, C and D until exact dates are known. Single-game playoff ticket prices will be the same as regular season prices:

- "Rail Kings" : $16

- Diamond Club : $12

- Field Box : $10

- Bullpen Box : $8

- Outfield Bleachers : $6

The Spikes' Four-Game Playoff Packs remain available as well, starting as low as $16 per seat for all four potential home playoff games. Each Four-Game Playoff Pack also includes a $2 per game savings off the single-game price. In addition, each seat purchased as part of a Four -Game Playoff Pack will come with a free, limited-edition 2013 Spikes playoff t-shirt while supplies last.

Fans can purchase individual playoff game tickets and Four -Game Playoff Packs by visiting the Spikes Box Office at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park or calling (814) 272-1711 during Box Office hours. On home game days, the Spikes Box Office is open from 9 a.m. through the end of the game. Non-game day hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Fans can also reserve their Playoff Packs via the link available online at State College Spikes.com.

In the event that an individual playoff game ticket is purchased for a game not played, or a Four-Game Playoff Pack is purchased and less than four post-season games are played, fans can claim a refund for games not played in one of three ways:

1. Credit applied to 2014 Spikes Season Tickets OR

2. Undated single-game ticket vouchers for the 2014 Spikes season OR

3. Full monetary refund applied to the method used to purchase the seats

The New York-Penn League's playoff format features a Best-of-3 Semi-Final round followed by a Best-of-3 Championship Series. The champions of the league's three divisions, plus the club with the best record among non-division winners will qualify for the post-season.
