
Sound Tigers To Help Habitat For Humanity

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will team up with "Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bridgeport" to help with the construction of a development of 18 new homes on Agresta Terrace in Stratford this Tuesday and Wednesday, February 8th and 9th.
Jim and Ed Campbell, Kevin Colley, Rob Collins, Wade Dubielewicz, Bruno Gervais, Cole Jarrett, Dieter Kochan, Justin Mapletoft, Justin Papineau and Steve Regier are scheduled to work from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Tuesday. Team captain Richard Seeley, Sean Bergenheim, Ryan Caldwell, Eric Godard, Barrett Heisten, Matt Koalska, John Morlang and Jody Robinson are scheduled to work from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday. Graham Belak, Chris Campoli and Brendan Yarema have volunteered to work both days. Head coach Greg Cronin, assistant coach Dave Baseggio and members of the staff will also help.
Snapple has donated beverages to the team for both days.
"Habitat for Humanity International" is a non-profit, ecumenical, Christian housing ministry that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need.
The Sound Tigers are constantly looking for ways to become more involved in the community throughout Fairfield and New Haven Counties. Groups, organizations, companies, etc. interested in having a member of the Sound Tigers appear at an event are invited to call 203-334-GOAL. Charitable organizations can also raise funds through the sale of Sound Tigers tickets.
