Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons are pleased to present the following upcoming and ongoing community events:
ADVANCE AUTO PARTS AND THE FALCONS TEAM UP TO ASSIST THE AMERICAN RED CROSS and OPEN PANTRY â The Springfield Falcons have partnered with Advance Auto Parts to host a collection to benefit the Pioneer Valley Red Cross Emergency Services and Open Pantry Warming Services. Screech will be at the Advance Auto Parts at the Chicopee â Memorial Drive location Saturday, February 12th from 10-noon to hand out autographs and hugs to those who donate items. The following items are needed for both organizations: Blankets, slipper socks, toiletries, and clothing. Those fans who contribute will receive a discount coupon to the Feb. 23rd game v. Norfolk Admirals at 7:05 pm. CLEAN OUT THOSE CLOSETS AND KEEP OUR NEIGHBORS WARM THIS SEASON IN THEIR TIME OF NEED!!!!!!

TIME OUT FOR READING â The Falcons have started their "Time Out for Reading" program for 4th and 5th graders in the Springfield Public School. The "Time Out for Reading" program is a six-week reading initiative where students from each classroom receive a pair of tickets for reaching their reading goals. Falcons players and Screech will be visiting participating schools. School listing and dates are:
2/7 Milton Bradley 1:00 pm
2/8 Indian Orchard School 1:15 pm
2/10 Dryden 1:15 pm

CAPTAIN'S KIDS â Captain #18 Shane Willis CAPTAIN'S KIDS ticket donation program will continue with the Feb. 11th game. Willis will be donating 10 tickets to every home game for the remainder of the season to a children's related organization from Western MA, Northern CT, and Southern VT. If you know of a childrens' related organization that might be interested in tickets, please contact Carole Appleton at (413) 739-3344. This week's groups include Fairview Middle School of Chicopee Special Education Class (2/11) and St. Patrick's of Chicopee Athletic Association (2/12).
MIKE'S MATCH â #48 Mike Egener recognizes Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampden County mentoring program by providing them with tickets to the Falcons remaining home game. GIVE BLOOD, LOVE HOCKEY - The Falcons have partnered with the American Red Cross Blood Services in their Annual Blood Drive with the Falcons on February 10th from 12-7 p.m. at the American Red Cross Donor Center, 3500 Main Street, Springfield. Each presenting donor will receive a pair of Falcons tickets to the Wednesday, February 23rd game v. Norfolk Admirals. Call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE to book your appointment today! Together we can save a life! #1 Jamie Storr and #22 Harlan Pratt will be at the American Red Cross Blood Services Center, 3500 Main St., Springfield from 4:30-5:45 p.m. on February 10th.

Proceeds to benefit Springfield Falcons Charities, Inc.
BE A GOOD SPORT! The Springfield Falcons have team up with the Good Sports Organization for a special collection! - Bring your used sports equipment in good condition to the Falcons game on Friday, March 11th and receive a discount coupon to the April 8th game vs. Worcester. The equipment will then be awarded to area youth organizations in the Greater Springfield area.
TEDDY BEAR TOSS brought to you by Teddy Bear Pools & Spas â Saturday, March 19th game vs. Albany â Bring a new Teddy Bear to the game and toss onto the ice for great prizes. All teddy bears will be donated to local Fire & Police Departments and EMS Units.
"Turn Back the Clock" JERSEY CHARITY AUCTION brought to you by Teddy Bear Pools & Spas & Theodore's, Worthington St., Springfieldâ Saturday, March 19th game vs. Albany â Your Falcons will be wearing a special "Turn Back the Clock" jersey that honors a team of Springfield's past. The jerseys will then be auctioned on line following the game to benefit the American Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund.
