Flashback
2/3/05 San Antonio 4 â Cleveland 3... The Barons received a two-goal performance from forward Jason Jaffray, but fell short. The Barons scored all three goals in the second period, as Grant Stevenson also tallied a goal. The Barons are now 1-1-0-0 against San Antonio this season. The Rampage's Joel Kwiatkowski recorded a three-point night with two goals and one assist.
2/3/05 Syracuse 2 â Cleveland 0... The Barons had two goals disallowed in their ninth shutout of the season. Josh Gorges appeared to score his second goal of the season as the puck crossed the goal line. Referee Gord Dwyer blew his whistle prior to the puck crossing the line, thus negating the goal. Trailing 1-0, Jason Jaffray, made a tight-angle shot that appeared to enter the net. Instead, the puck ricocheted off the goal pad on the bottom of the net prior to crossing the goal line. Dimitri Patzold made 31 saves, but was the tough-luck loser.
2/4/05 Cleveland 3 â Chicago 2... The Barons allowed the opening goal of the contest but came back to defeat Chicago. It is only the second time on the road that the Barons have overcome allowing the game's first goal (2-10-0-0). The Barons received goals from Jason Jaffray, Ryane Clowe, and Tomas Plihal to hold off the Wolves. Nolan Schaefer gained the victory by saving 20 shots on the night.
2/5/05 Cleveland 2 â Chicago 1... Out-shooting the Wolves, 37-27, the Barons dictated the pace of play for much of the game. Marcel Goc scored both goals on the day, with one coming on the power play. Picking up assists on the day were Christian Ehrhoff, Tim Conboy, and Ryane Clowe. Dimitri Patzold pushed his record back to .500 (12-12-3) with his 26-save performance.

Doug Dieken/Cleveland Barons Charity Auction
The 4th Annual Doug Dieken/Cleveland Barons Charity Auction will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd at Windows on the River from 6-9pm. Proceeds from the event benefit the Doug Dieken Foundation. The Annual Doug Dieken/Cleveland Barons Charity Auction has become the cornerstone of a foundation that serves as the primary support for the Cleveland Public Schools Special Olympics Program. The entire Barons roster and front office will be on hand to enjoy the evening. Barons captain and defenseman, Matt Carkner, is on the Board of Directors, along with his wife Kary, for the event.
