Rampage recall goaltender Osaer from Texas

SAN ANTONIO – Feb. 7, 2005 – The San Antonio Rampage announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Phil Osaer from the Texas Wildcatters of the ECHL and assigned netminder Patrick DesRochers to the Wildcatters.

Osaer, who turns 25 on Thursday, has appeared in 29 games with the Rampage ECHL affiliate this season, posting a 6-18-3 record with a 2.98 goals against average (GAA) and a .917 save percentage. His 912 saves ranks third in the ECHL.

The Livonia, Michigan native appeared in two preseason games for the Rampage, going 1-1-0-0 with a 2.96 goals against average (GAA). In his 45-game AHL career, he's posted a 17-19-5 record with four shutouts and a 2.59 GAA. Osaer, who was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 7th round (203rd overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft, was offered a free-agent tryout before signing an AHL contract by San Antonio on October 1, 2004.

DesRochers, 25, has appeared in 25 games with the Rampage this season, posting a 7-12-1 record with a 2.68 GAA and a .897 save percentage.
