David Koci, Kris Beech suspended by American Hockey League

WILKES-BARRE, PA – The American Hockey League announced today that Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defenseman David Koci has been suspended six (6) regular season games and center Kris Beech one (1) regular season game.

Koci, 23, has been suspended six games under the provisions of AHL Rule 33A as a result of his actions in AHL Game #660 versus Bridgeport on February 2. He will miss the Penguins' next six games; Fri., Feb. 11 vs. Hershey; Sat., Feb. 12 vs. Lowell; Feb. 17 at Portland; Feb.18 at Bridgeport; Feb. 19 at Hershey; and Feb. 23 vs. Manitoba.

Beech, 24, was suspended one game under the provisions of AHL Rule 52A as a result of his match penalty in AHL Game #676 on February 4 versus Hershey. He missed the Feb. 5 game versus Philadelphia and is eligible to return to the lineup on Friday against the Bears.
