
Sound Tigers Sign Nic Bilotto

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the signing of defenseman Nic Bilotto to a professional tryout contract. Bilotto will be in the lineup when the Sound Tigers visit the Providence Bruins tonight at 7:05 p.m.
This will be the second stint with the Sound Tigers for Bilotto who scored one goal and had two penalty minutes in four games with the team on a PTO during the 2002-03 season. The 6'2'' 215-pounder from Montreal has two goals, 15 assists, 17 points and 60 penalty minutes in 39 games with the United Hockey League's Danbury Trashers this season and was selected to play in that league's all-star game earlier this week.
The Sound Tigers will finish a stretch of seven straight road games by playing three in three days this weekend. After tonight's game in Providence, they will visit the Hartford Wolf Pack tomorrow at 7:35 p.m. and the Lowell Lock Monsters Sunday at 4 p.m. All Sound Tigers games are web cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Most games, including Sunday's, are also broadcast live on 600 WICC-AM.
The Sound Tigers' next home game at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard will be Friday, January 21st when they host the Albany River Rats at 7:35 p.m. Information regarding Sound Tigers ticket packages and sponsorship opportunities is available by calling 203-334-GOAL or logging on to www.soundtigers.com.
