Jimmy Roy, who had three goals in 24 games entering this Texas trip, scored four times in the two outings against the Rampage, including a hat trick in Thursday's 3-0 win... Behind Alex Auld and Wade Flaherty, Manitoba has allowed nine goals in its last seven games overall (6-1-0-0)... The Aeros are coming off a 7-0 blanking of Milwaukee on Tuesday, the most lopsided home win in the franchise's 11-year history... Goaltender Mike Smith has appeared in 13 straight contests for Houston, and has allowed just four goals in his last four outings... The Aeros have surrendered 19 power-play goals this year, fewest in the AHL.

A pair of fifth-place teams in need of wins square off at Copps Coliseum as Hamilton hosts Cincinnati on Friday and Saturday... The Mighty Ducks won the first meeting this season, getting 28 saves from Frederic Cassivi in a 2-0 victory on Dec. 29... Since giving up six goals on 18 shots in a loss to San Antonio on Jan. 1, Cincinnati has allowed one goal on 73 shots in three games, and enters the weekend one point behind Houston in the West Division... Hamilton rookie Corey Locke, the OHL Player of the Year in 2003 and 2004, is one off the team lead in both goals (12) and points (24), and tops in plus/minus rating (+7)... Starting with Tuesday's loss to Chicago, the Bulldogs are playing six straight games against the West before facing North Division foes in 15 of the next 16.

Norfolk plays three important games in just over 48 hours against East Division foes, entertaining Philadelphia on Friday before visiting Hershey and the Phantoms to close out the weekend... The Admirals begin play three points out of second place, but only three up on the fifth-place Bears... After five of the six games in their playoff series last spring were decided by a single goal, Norfolk and Philadelphia have gone to overtime in each of their three meetings in 2004-05... Admirals goalie Michael Leighton has a 0.95 GAA in two wins over the Phantoms this year, but has lost three of four to Hershey...
