Ducks edge Bulldogs, 2-1, in shootout

HAMILTON, ON -- Chris Kunitz scored the deciding goal in the shootout to lift the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 2-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs at Copps Coliseum.

Joel Stepp scored 3:04 into the third period to tie the score at 1-1 for the Ducks, who have four three of their last four games.

Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 35 shots in the win for Cincinnati, which snapped a three-game road losing streak and improved to 3-2 in overtime shootouts this season.

Dan Jancevski had the lone goal in the second period and Yann Danis made 45 saves for Hamilton, which has lost three straight games and four of its last five.

The Ducks complete a two-game series with the Bulldogs and a three-game road trip tonight at 7 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
