Sound Tigers Going to the Dogs...And Diamonds
February 9, 2006 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Bridgeport Islanders News Release
BRIDGEPORT, CT - The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, will return to action when they host the Lowell Lock Monsters this Friday, February 10th at 7:35 p.m. The Sound Tigers will also visit the Hershey Bears this Saturday at 7 p.m. and return home to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins this Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
Friday will be "Dollar Dog Night" with $1 hot dogs on sale at the concession stands when the Sound Tigers host Lowell. Sunday will be "Diamond In The Rough Night" when league-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton visits.
Sunday's "Diamond In The Rough Night" will feature a Sound Tigers version of the Newly Wed Game with one lucky couple winning a set of diamond-stud earrings courtesy of Marks of Design in Shelton. Couples can sign up for a chance to win at the Marks of Design table on the concourse up until the start of the second period, and three couples will be chosen, at-random from all who register, to be a part of the Newly Wed Game. The three couples will then face one another and write down answers to questions about their significant other on poster cards, with incorrect respondents being eliminated until one couple is left to win the earrings.
Sound Tigers tickets are on-sale at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard box office, on-line at ticketmaster.com or over the phone by calling 203-368-1000. Information about all Sound Tigers ticket packages and promotions is available by calling 203-334-GOAL or emailing info@soundtigers.com.
All Sound Tigers games are web-cast live at www.soundtigers.com. Fans can also watch all AHL games live on the B2 Networks.
