Binghamton Senators News Release
OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators have recalled right-winger Brandon Bochenski from the Binghamton Senators, the club's American Hockey League affiliate, on an emergency basis for tonight's game against the Atlanta Thrashers at Scotiabank Place. Bochenski will replace the injured Brian McGrattan, who has a swollen right eye.
A native of Blaine, Minn., Bochenski opened the season on the Senators roster and recorded one goal and four assists in Ottawa's first 10 games before being assigned to Binghamton on Oct. 31. He was recalled to Ottawa on Nov. 30 where he played eight games, recording eight points (5-3) before suffering a separated right shoulder on Dec. 17 against Toronto (8-2 win). He returned for Ottawa's 2-0 loss to San Jose on Jan. 12, where he re-injured his right shoulder. After missing four games with the Ottawa club, he was returned to Binghamton on Jan. 22.
The 24-year-old has played a total of 19 games with Ottawa, recording six goals, seven assists, 14 penalty minutes and is a +7 in plus-minus rating. With Binghamton, Bochenski has played 20 games, recording 24 points (8-16) and 24 penalty minutes.
The B-Sens are sixth in the East Division with 18 wins, 25 losses, two overtime losses and two shootout losses for 40 points. Binghamton returns to action on Friday, Feb. 10, to take on the Syracuse Crunch at 7:30 p.m.
