Senators Sign Kompon to PTO

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League today announced that they have signed center Mike Kompon of the ECHL's Reading Royals to a 25-game professional tryout agreement.

Kompon, a 23-year-old native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, leads the Royals with 54 points (13 goals, 41 assists) in 37 games. His 41 assists rank second in the ECHL and he is tied for sixth in points. Current Binghamton wingers Danny Bois and Jeff Heerema, as well as assistant coach Mike Busniuk, are also natives of Thunder Bay.

Kompon has registered two points (one goal, one assist) in five games in the American Hockey League this season during stints with the Hershey Bears and the Manchester Monarchs.

Binghamton will travel to Syracuse tomorrow night for a 7:30 p.m. game with the Crunch.
