Bridgeport Islanders News Release

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 27, 2011) - Due to the poor ice conditions following this weekend's NCAA men's hockey contests, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the American Hockey League have postponed this afternoon's game against the Syracuse Crunch. The game against the Syracuse Crunch will be played tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. Tomorrow's game will be free to all Sound Tigers fans. All fans with a ticket to this afternoon's game can redeem them at the Webster Bank Arena box office for a ticket to any remaining Sound Tigers home game this season, or seek a refund through the Webster Bank Arena Box Office or Ticketmaster.

"We apologize to our fans for any inconvenience this has caused," said Howard Saffan, President of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. "The safety of both our players and the members of the Syracuse Crunch are of the utmost concern, and we will not put their careers at risk. Therefore, the only solution was to postpone today's game until tomorrow afternoon."

Fans with tickets to this afternoon's game who cannot attend tomorrow's game at 1 p.m. can obtain a voucher to any remaining Sound Tigers home game this season or any game during the Sound Tigers 2011-12 season by contacting the Webster Bank Arena Box Office.
