
Blues Assign Hensick, Cracknell and Cole to Peoria

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has assigned forwards T.J. Hensick and Adam Cracknell along with defenseman Ian Cole to the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen. The Rivermen have also released forward Chris Langkow from his professional tryout contract.
Hensick, 25, has dressed in 13 games for the Blues this season tallying one goal and two assists. In 52 games with Peoria, the 5'10, 190-pound forward leads the Rivermen with 61 points including 18 goals and 43 assists. The Lansing, Michigan native was acquired by the Blues from Colorado in exchange for Julian Talbot on June 17, 2010.
Cole, 22, has appeared in 24 games for the Blues this season recording four points including a goal and three assists. With Peoria, the 6'1, 221-pound defenseman has dressed in 39 games tallying 13 points including five goals and eight assists. The Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round, 18th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
Cracknell, 25, has played in 22 games for the Blues this season notching six points including three goals and three assists. The 6'1, 216-pound forward has also made 54 appearances for the Rivermen amassing 21 points including six goals and 15 assists. The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was signed by the Blues as a free agent on July 23, 2009.
Langkow, 21, appeared in eight games with the Rivermen and collected a goal and two assists. The Vegreville, Alberta native has 36 points (15g, 21a) in 53 games this season, and is second on the Aces with a plus-11 rating. He represented Alaska at the 2011 ECHL All-Star Classic in Bakersfield and scored two goals in the ECHL All-Stars 9-3 win over the Condors.
The Rivermen host the Hamilton Bulldogs this afternoon at 4:05. Kids tickets are available for $1 plus hot dogs, chips and Cokes are also available for $1 each for the entire game.
