San Antonio Rampage News Release

MILWAUKEE (March 27, 2011)- Rampage right wing Matt Beaudoin scored the lone goal as the Rampage dropped a 2-1 decision to the division-leading Milwaukee Admirals on Sunday afternoon at the Bradley Center. The Rampage have 81 points on a 38-30-3-2 record.

The Admirals were the first to jump on the scoreboard 6:12 after the initial puck drop when Teemu Laakso scored six seconds into Milwaukee's first power-play opportunity of the night. Roman Josi and Ryan Thang assisted on Laakso's shot from the left point that went over the glove of Rampage goaltender Joe Fallon for a 1-0 lead.

The Rampage evened the score at 1-1 on the power play when Randy Robitaille passed from the high slot to Beaudoin at the left goal line and managed a shot on a tight angle that bounced off Admirals netminder Jeremy Smith's padding and into the back of the net at the 3:12 mark of the second period. Ned Lukacevic picked up the second assist.

Milwaukee claimed a 2-1 advantage when Fallon's kick save deflected Aaron Johnson's shot to the crease where Andreas Thuresson was positioned and sent the puck under the right leg padding of Fallon 15:41 into the middle stanza to seal the victory.

Fallon finished the game with 17 saves on 19 Admirals shot attempts while Smith made 26 saves on 27 Rampage shots on net.

The Rampage conclude a five-game road trip on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center as they skate against the Milwaukee Admirals at 7 p.m.
