
Blair Jones Reassigned to Admirals by Lightning

TAMPA BAY, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward Blair Jones to the Admirals, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Jones, 6-foot-2, 216 pounds, has played in 18 games with the Lightning this season, recording a goal and three points while averaging 8:00 in ice time per game. He has tied NHL career highs for goals, assists and points. Jones has played in 56 career NHL games, all with the Lightning. He has registered two goals and six points with 14 penalty minutes during his career.
A native of Central Butte, Saskatchewan, Jones has played in 47 games with Norfolk this season, notching 20 goals and 44 points with a plus-17 rating. He is tied for second on the Admirals in goals and plus/minus and ranks fifth in points. Jones has tied his career high for goals in an AHL season. In 310 career AHL games between the Admirals and Springfield Falcons, Jones has recorded 68 goals and 123 assists for 191 points.
Jones is five points away from tying Ajay Baines as the all-time leading scorer in AHL Admirals history. He has recorded 63 goals and 107 assists for 170 points in 265 games with Norfolk from the 2007-08 season to the present. Baines recorded 68 goals and 107 assists for 175 points in 409 games with Norfolk from 2000-01 - 2005-06.
Jones was drafted by Tampa Bay in the fourth round, 102nd overall, of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
