Falcons Host Senators Today

March 27, 2011 - The Springfield Falcons return home on Sunday afternoon to host the Binghamton Senators at the MassMutual Center starting at 3 pm.

The Falcons enter Sunday's game coming off an impressive 7-2 win on Saturday night in Worcester with Springfield using seven different goal scorers in collecting the two points. Rookie goaltender Paul Dainton stopped 39 of 41 shots in earning his first AHL win, while Aaron Bogosian also scored his first AHL goal. Tomas Kubalik collected one goal and three assists on the night moving into third in the league in rookie scoring. Ben Guite had three assists, while Nick Holden and David Savard each had a pair of helpers.

Binghamton heads into Springfield having won five straight games including a 4-1 win over Providence on Saturday night.

Corey Locke scored both goals for the Senators against the Falcons last week in a 2-0 Senators win, which also saw Barry Brust stop 25 shots for his seventh shutout of the season. Locke leads the AHL in scoring with 83 points on the season.

The Senators are currently in 5th place in the East Division with 85 points and have a seven point lead over Worcester for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
