Solar Bears to Unveil Third Jerseys at Home on December 28

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears announced today that they will unveil their much-anticipated third jerseys when they play the Florida Everblades at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, at the Amway Center. The Solar Bears will wear the new third jerseys during the game against the Florida Everblades on December 28, giving fans their first chance to see the new sweaters. Replica third jerseys will be available to purchase at the Amway Center and online at http://shop.orlandosolarbearshockey.com/ starting December 28. Teddy Bear Toss Results:

Orlando held their Teddy Bear Toss on Friday, December 7, against the Fort Wayne Komets to benefit Central Florida Families in need. During the first intermission, fans at the game tossed new stuffed animals on to the Amway Center ice. Over 2,800 teddy bears and other stuffed animals were donated to 106.7 Baby DJ, the Autism Society of Greater Orlando, Toys for Tots, and the Community Food & Outreach Center. Thank you to all of the fans who helped make the event a tremendous success!

Chuck-A-Puck Donations:

Solar Bears fans have helped raise over $2,700 so far this season. The first recipients from Chuck-A-Puck include the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida, American Lung Association, and the JDRF. Future Chuck-A-Puck recipients include, but are not limited to, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Habitat for Humanity, the American Heart Association, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Central Florida Boy Scouts, the Nap Ford Community School, and the Christian Service Center for Central Florida.

Solar Bears to Take Part in Citrus Bowl Parade:

The Orlando Solar Bears will participate in the Citrus Bowl Parade on Saturday, December 29. The Parade will take place in downtown Orlando and begins at 10:00 a.m. Come out and meet the Solar Bears mascot 'Shades' and the Solar Bears Dance Team.

Orlando plays their next three games away from home, all against the Florida Everblades, returning to the Amway Center for back-to-back contests against Florida on Thursday, December 27, and Friday, December 28.
