Trenton Titans News Release

The Trenton Titans, proud ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announce that Andrew Johnston has been recalled to Adirondack (AHL) from his loan to Trenton. In a separate move, The Albany (AHL) Devils have sent center Phil DiSimone on loan to Trenton.

The 21 year old Johnston (Saskatoon, SK) began the season with the Phantoms playing in 10 games and scoring one goal. He was reassigned to Trenton (ECHL) on November 19 where he played in two games with one goal scored. His most recent game action was November 24 before an injury kept him out of action for the past few weeks.

Johnston was signed by the Flyers as a free agent from the Humbolt Broncos (SJHL) where he had 29 goals and 81 points in just 58 games in the regular season followed by a 10 goal outburst in the post-season leading the team to the Anavet Cup Championship pitting the champions of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League against the top team from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

DiSimone played 76 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL) last season, before signing with Albany as a free agent August 7 of this year. He had 14 goals and 19 assists in 76 games for Hamilton and was a third round pick (84th overall) of the Washington Capitals in the 2007 NHL Draft.
