Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that center Scott Campbell has signed a professional tryout contract (PTO) with the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers for his first call-up of the season.

Campbell, 26, has picked up four goals and 10 points in 24 games with the Wranglers this year. Making his professional debut last season, the 6-foot-2, 210-pound center earned two AHL call-ups after recording 15 goals and 31 points with Las Vegas, appearing in 12 games for the Texas Stars and one with the Rochester Americans. A native of Navan, Ontario, Campbell spent four years (2007-11) at University of Massachusetts, Lowell, amassing 39 goals and 85 points.

The Wranglers are on the road for their next five games, and return home on Sunday, Dec. 30, to take on the Idaho Steelheads at 2:05 p.m. Fans will be able to skate with the team after the game for free, with limited ice skates available for use, and the first 1,000 kids age 12 and under through the doors will receive a stuffed doll of the team mascot, The Duke.

Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers. Take advantage of the best deals by calling the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK . The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
