TRENTON, N.J. - December 19, 2012 - Tonight the Elmira Jackals embark on a seven-game road trip by paying a visit to the Trenton Titans. Each of the Jackals first four road games this month, including tonight, have been in Trenton.

The Jackals are facing the Titans tonight for the sixth of 16 meetings this season and fourth of eight at Sun National Bank Center. The Jackals are 3-1-1 against the Titans this season, and 2-0-1 in Trenton after a 5-4 overtime win on Dec. 15. Each of the Jackals' first four road games so far in December have been played at the Sun National Bank Center but after tonight Elmira won't return here until a Monday matinee on February 18. The Jackals and Titans are neck-a-neck in the Atlantic Division standings (Elmira holds a three-point lead) after each team claimed five out of six points in their three-game weekends last weekend.
The Jackals are averaging 4.6 goals per game overall, and 5.67 per game on the road, against Trenton this season. A major reason for those high numbers has been the play of the Numbers Line. Andrew Rowe (6G, 3A) and Artem Demkov (4G, 5A) lead the Jackals against Trenton with nine points each while Dustin Gazley is right behind them with seven (7A) in three games. In Saturday's OT win Rowe and Demkov had two goals each, Demkov notched the winning goal, and Gazley set a career high with four assists. Jack Downing has also had a great deal of offensive success against Trenton with nine points (4G, 5A) in five games. Overall seven Jackals skaters are averaging a point per game or better in the season series against Trenton.
