
Solar Bears Grind out Another Road Win in 4-2 Victory

DULUTH, Ga. - The Orlando Solar Bears (13-7-2-0) scored two power-play goals on their way to defeating the Atlanta Gladiators (10-11-2-1) by a 4-2 score on Friday night at Infinite Energy Arena.
Tony Cameranesi stole the puck at the attacking blueline and made his way to the slot where he wristed a shot over the glove of Dan Vladar at 1:50 of the first period to give Orlando the early lead.
Kasimir Kaskisuo turned aside 14 Atlanta shots in the opening stanza including a glove save on a breakaway by Eric Neiley at 6:28.
Near the end of a lengthy power play sequence, the Solar Bears added to their lead when Austin Block one-timed a Denver Manderson feed past Vladar at 13:38.
Orlando extended its lead with another power-play tally from Patrick Watling at 6:59 of the second period when the forward knocked in an Eric Faille rebound past Vladar.
The Gladiators got on the board when Bryan Cameron sent a pass ahead to Ben Marshall who made his way down the left wing and blasted a shot past Kaskisuo at 12:43.
Atlanta then pulled back to within one in the third period when Derek Nesbitt beat Kaskisuo at 11:56, but Ben Danford sealed the game with an empty-net tally at 19:33.
Kaskisuo picked up the win with a season-high 35 saves on 37 shots against; Vladar took the loss with 28 stops on 31 shots against.
