GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Orlando Solar Bears (9-8-1-3), proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and the AHL's Toronto Marlies, saw their eight-game road point streak come to an end as they fell 6-2 to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (11-11-2-0) in front of a crowd of 2,472 on Thursday night at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

Greenville raced out to a 2-0 lead in the opening frame when Rob Kwiet scored a shorthanded goal at 7:31, and Michael St. Croix was credited with a score at 17:23 after Ryan Massa inadvertently kicked the puck over the goal line after St. Croix crashed the net.

The Swamp Rabbits widened their lead to 3-0 in the second period when Jack Combs buried a rebound attempt past Massa at 16:10.

Bretton Cameron scored just 11 seconds into the third to make it 4-0. Two goals from T.J. Foster would get Orlando on the board at 9:49 and 12:21, but St. Croix added his second of the night in between Foster's goal to hinder any momentum for Orlando, and Josh Nicholls added another shorthanded marker at 18:30 to close out the scoring.

Massa took the loss with 28 saves on 34 shots; Jeff Malcolm earned the victory with 30 saves on 32 shots.
