Solar Bears Sign Goalie Brandon Jaeger

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that rookie goaltender Brandon Jaeger has been added to the roster.

Jaeger (YAY-gurr), 25, has played in eight games with the Columbus Cottonmouths of the Southern Professional Hockey League this season, sporting a 4-3-0 record with a 2.81 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage. Jaeger made his professional debut last season with the ECHL's Missouri Mavericks, going 1-0-0 with a 3.00 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage in one appearance with Missouri.

Prior to turning pro, the native of Champlin, Minn. completed a four-year collegiate career from 2011-15 at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. In 91 career games with the Pointers, Jaeger compiled a 62-22-5 record with 11 shutouts, a 2.21 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

Jaeger will wear No. 33 and will be on the active roster for tonight's game when the Solar Bears kick off a six-game road trip tonight against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at 7:00 p.m. at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Be sure to tune into the game at iHeartSolarBears.com or watch via ECHL.TV.

The Solar Bears return to host the Florida Everblades in the third match of the Wawa Sunshine Cup Series as they continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A. on Sunday, Dec. 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Amway Center.
