December 10, 2015 - ECHL (ECHL)
Evansville IceMen News Release

HOOSIER LOTTERY PRESENTS ICEMEN BINGO

All fans 18-years-old and over who attend Friday's game at the Ford Center receive a Bingo card with hockey-related squares to check off as the game progresses. The first 100 people who turn in a card with a successful Bingo will receive a prize pack presented by the Hoosier Lottery. The next five people who fill their entire Bingo card will receive a separate prize pack.

COMEBACK IN TOLEDO

Trailing 2-0 in the second period Wednesday at the Huntington Center in Toledo, OH, the IceMen battled back to earn a big road win, scoring three unanswered goals to beat the Walleye 3-2. Justin MacDonald scored once in the second period and once again in the third to tie the game. Daultan Leveille then scored on a power play to put Evansville in front for good. Goaltender Matt Zenzola stopped 29 Toledo shots in the victory in his ECHL debut.

LEVEILLE'S POWER PLAY

Five of Daultan Leveille's team-leading 11 goals this season have come on the power play. The St. Catherines, ON native has half of Evansville's ten goals on the man-advantage, which is tied for second best in the ECHL. Leveille also has four of the seven IceMen game-winning goals this year, which is tied for first in the league. He has goals in each of his last three games.

INCOMING CYCLONES

Evansville and Cincinnati start off a weekend home-and-home series Friday when the Cyclones make their first trip to the Ford Center at 7:15pm. Cincinnati used two third period goals to narrowly defeat the IceMen 2-1 back on November 7 at US Bank Arena. The Cyclones' number-one goaltender Brad Thiessen was called up to Lake Erie of the AHL this week, meaning Brandon Whitney will likely start against the IceMen for the second time this year. The two teams then head back to Cincinnati Saturday for the rematch at 7:35pm EST.

HALLEY'S KOMET

The IceMen return to Fort Wayne for the first time since the preseason looking to avenge a 7-5 loss to the Komets last Friday at the Ford Center. Evansville fell behind twice in that game, but fought back to tie the score. The difference in the game was special teams, as Fort Wayne converted on its only power play opportunity, killed of five of six penalties, and scored two short-handed goals in the third period. Nikita Kashirsky and Jamie Schaafsma each pocketed a pair of goals, their first goals of the season, to lead the Komets' attack.
