
Snappers Come From Behind For Third Straight Win

The Swing scored three unearned runs in the top of the first, leading 3-0. The Snappers turned the tables on the Swing scoring four runs in the third, taking a 4-3 lead. Steve Tolleson singled in Eli Tintor to score the first run. Tarrence Patterson reached on a fielder's choice, scoring Toby Gardenhire. Paul Kelly tripled to right field scoring Patterson from first, tying the game 3-3. Kelly later scored on a wild pitch, giving Beloit a 4-3 lead. The Swing scored a run in three straight innings, posting a run in the top of the fifth, sixth and seventh, taking a 6-4 lead. The Snappers made another comeback in the bottom of the eighth inning. Tolleson started the rally with a single to center. Patterson followed with a single, moving Tolleson to third. Kelly doubled to left scoring both Tolleson and Patterson to tie the game. Kelly scored on a fielder's choice by Henry Sanchez, giving Beloit a 7-6 lead. Eric Lis, who was intentionally walked earlier in the inning, scored on a Caleb Moore single to left field. The Snappers held the Swing scoreless in the top of the ninth, giving them the win. David Shinskie earned the win, improving his record to 4-3. Paul Kelly powered the Beloit offense, going two for four at the plate with a double, triple and three runs driven in.
The Snappers improve to 25-24 on the season, the Swing fall to 20-28.
Upcoming Schedule: The Snappers and Swing play the second game of this four game series Tuesday, May 30th at Pohlman Field, First pitch is set for 6:30 pm.
