The Snappers took an early lead in the third inning as first baseman Michael Gonzales cracked his first home run of the season to lead off the frame. The Cougars came right back with a run in the bottom half to even the score at 1-1.
Three innings later the Snappers once again took a two-run lead as Aaron Hicks scored on a double from Derek McCallum and later Steven Liddle would knocked another double to score McCallum.
The lead was shortly lived as the Cougars bounced right back and took the lead in the bottom half of the inning by scoring three times, giving the Cougars a 5-3 lead.
Down by two heading into the ninth the Snappers started the come-back off with a one-out walk from Gonzales. Wang Wei Lin came on to pinch run for Gonzales. Reggie Williams would also walk to put the tying run at first as James Beresford loaded the bases by smacking his first single of the game. Hector Garcia who had came in to close out the game walked Hicks to bring in a run making the score 5-4. Shortstop Brian Dozier delivered the tying hit as he singled to left bringing home Williams and knotting the game at five a piece. Garcia would uncork a wild pitch to score Beresford as the Snappers took the lead.
