
Skyforce Top 87ers 99-93 in Overtime

NEWARK, DE - The Delaware 87ers lost 99-93 on Friday to the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the Bob Carpenter Center.
Rodney Carney led the 87ers (19-27) with 22 points off-the-bench on 9-of-18 shooting from the field while racking up five rebounds. Christian Wood had the team's sole double-double with 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds. Ty Greene chipped in 20 points on 7-of-19 from the field.
The Skyforce (38-8) were led by Jarnell Stokes who had 23 points on 11-of-15 shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds. DeAndre Liggins went 3-of-9 from the field for 12 points and 10 assists. NBA D-League All-Star Keith Benson posted 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting and 10 rebounds.
Stokes went for eight points in the first quarter to help the Skyforce build a 21-16 lead at the end of one.
Sioux Falls built on their lead in the second, out-scoring Delaware 27-18 to take a 48-34 lead at the half.
Carney went for 12-of-his-22 points in the third quarter, but the 87ers still trailed 71-58 after three.
The Sevens out-scored Sioux Falls 28-15 in the final period, led by 10 points from David Laury. Down 86-83, Carney hit a three-pointer with 4.0 seconds left in the game to tie the game at 86 and force overtime.
The Skyforce didn't miss a shot from the field in the extra frame, scoring 13 points on their way to win No. 38 on the season, which was Delaware's first overtime loss in five games that went past 48 minutes.
The 87ers host the Skyforce in their next game on Saturday, March 26th, at 3:00 p.m. ET.
