The Canton Charge (30-17), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Grand Rapids Drive (21-26), 114-100, in front of a standing room only crowd of 3,913 on Fan Appreciation Night at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
A Quinn Cook three-pointer with 1:48 left in the first quarter broke a 24-24 deadlock to give Canton a lead they would never relinquish. The Charge were in front by as many as 16 points en route to taking the season series 4-2 over the Central Division rival Drive. Canton finishes the regular season with a 18-7 home record, including 13-2 in their building since January 1st.
Los Angeles Clippers assignment C.J. Wilcox led six Canton players in double figures with 19 points on 7-of-15 shooting in 25 minutes. Quinn Cook came off the bench to post an all-around effort of 18 points, six boards, and eight assists in 30 minutes. John Holland added 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting in 25 minutes. Chris Crawford posted 11 points, four assists, four rebounds, and two blocks in 22 minutes. All 11 players who saw action for Canton got in the scoring column in the win.
Grand Rapids was paced by Devin Ebanks netting a game-high 26 points, nine boards, and two blocks in 45 minutes. Dahntay Jones scored 18 points and grabbed four rebounds in 30 minutes. Kelsey Barlow bolstered the Drive with 12 points, eight rebounds, and three steals in 44 minutes.
