BELOIT - A sunbaked crowd of 1,522 watched the Beloit Sky Carp come back in high-wire fashion to defeat the Lansing Lugnuts 5-4 in the finale of a six-game series Sunday afternoon at ABC Supply Stadium.

The Sky Carp took the series in dominating fashion, losing just once in the six games.

Trailing 4-1 entering the ninth inning, Beloit's Ynmanol Marinez cracked a two-run homer to cut the advantage to 4-3. After Davis Bradshaw and Marcus Chiu singled, Cody Morissette cracked a two-out, two-run double to the left field corner to plate both runners and end the game.

Chandler Jozwiak (1-0) picked up the win after pitching a scoreless ninth inning. Chris Mokma got the start for Beloit and allowed two runs in six innings of solid work.

Following a day off Monday, the Sky Carp will travel to Quad Cities to take on the River Bandits for a six-game series beginning Tuesday evening.

Beloit will return home for a week-long series against Wisconsin beginning Tuesday, June 7.
